About Elena
Elena Kreitzman has been practicing law for over 15 years, and has been practicing exclusively in the area of bankruptcy since the late 1990's. During that time she has successfully represented hundreds of “debtors”, people who for various reasons became overwhelmed by debt, be it in the form of credit cards, mortgages, home equity loans, bank and personal loans or otherwise.
The economic downturn experienced by our country, the steep decline in housing prices, and the tightening of consumer credit, have dramatically increased the financial pressure on all too many. As a result, many lawyers have migrated to the practice of bankruptcy law, some with little experience and many with an inability to understand the depth of the problems experienced by people with significant debt.
Ms. Kreitzman is different - she has devoted her professional career to bankruptcy law. Her keen knowledge of the law combined with her attention to detail and great compassion are tremendous assets to her clients. Further, she does not view bankruptcy law as simply a business or a place where an attorney can take advantage of the current downturn and earn a quick dollar. Instead, Ms. Kreitzman views bankruptcy law as an opportunity for her use her years of experience to help people move forward through these difficult times.
Ms. Kreitzman takes pride in her reputation as a “Lawyer’s lawyer”. She is highly regarded by both bankruptcy judges and trustees. Her clients range from those with few, if any assets, but with significant credit card debt to those whose estates are worth many millions but are too highly leveraged. Many of her clients are referred to her by other attorneys who hold her in the highest esteem.
Her patience and calm demeanor assists clients during this difficult time period. Ms. Kreitzman’s preparation and hands-on attention are what separates her from other lawyers and insures her clients the best feasible outcome. Like Mr. Joseph, Ms Kreitzman met her future spouse while they were both attending Hofstra University Law School. She and her husband have one child and reside in Suffolk County.
