Ms. Burrows is of counsel in the Commercial Litigation Department where she focuses her practice on reinsurance and insurance coverage disputes.

Ms. Burrows has represented insurance and reinsurance companies in federal and state litigation, arbitration and mediation.  These disputes have involved a variety of claims, including asbestos and pollution, professional liability, directors and officers coverage, mortgage insurance, construction defect and alleged misrepresentation in the procurement of insurance and reinsurance including allegations of bad faith.  Ms. Burrows has also counseled clients with respect to reinsurance contract wordings and the development of arbitration and mediation protocols for the insurance and reinsurance industries. 

Ms. Burrows received her B.A. from New College in Sarasota, Florida in 1977 and her J.D., summa cum laude, from the Temple University School of Law in 1983.   At Temple, Ms. Burrows was Note and Comment Editor of the Temple Law Review and participated in a judicial clerkship clinical with the Honorable Arlin Adams.  Ms. Burrows is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, as well as various Federal courts of appeal.  Ms. Burrows is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association and ARIAS-U.S., the U.S. reinsurance industry arbitration association.  She is a fellow of the Litvin-sponsored Academy of Advocacy.  Ms. Burrows has authored articles in various insurance and reinsurance industry publications and has been a featured speaker at industry-sponsored seminars.  She is certified by ARIAS-US as a reinsurance arbitrator.

Ms. Burrows was an associate at White and Williams LLP from 1983-1990 and a partner from 1991-2000.  In 2000, Ms. Burrows retired from the firm while continuing to do insurance and reinsurance industry consulting and serving as an arbitrator in reinsurance cases. In July 2009, Ms. Burrows rejoined the firm as counsel in the firm's insurance and reinsurance coverage practices.
