Appeals cases Demonstrative sample
1. State v Harold Wolf: Defendant was charged with aggravated arson, arson, and insurance fraud in Marysville Ohio. Convicted on all counts at a jury trial. I appealed his underlying conviction and won a reversal on insufficient evidence of aggravated arson. Client was released.
2. Houston v Wilkerson, Companion case to Layne v Ohio Adult Parole Authority, Client was continually denied parole by the Ohio Adult Parole Authority. This case forces the Parole Authority to follow their own guidelines.
3. State v Argueta, Appellant filed a post conviction petition. Court determined that appellant was entitled to an evidentiary hearing.

Able to secure state habeas relief for a client who was thrown in jail for failing to attend a parenting class. Client released
Death Penalty
I worked on Richard Cooey's case for six years until he was executed on October 14, 2008. I sat as a witness less than ten feet away from where they lethally injected him.
I worked as part of a defense team that secured prison terms of less than twenty years for three clients charged with the death penalty.
I worked as part of a defense team that was able to show the client was mentally retarded and therefore ineligible for the death penalty. Sentenced to a life term.
