Criminal defense attorney Erik Schlueter is committed to aggressive, personal representation and support and guidance at a time of need. In practice since 1980, Erik Schlueter spent 20 years in the El Dorado County District Attorneys office, gaining an insiders view of how the prosecution operates, and adding up extensive and valuable trial experience. He has devoted his career to criminal law.
Our law firm defends against all levels of criminal charges, including misdemeanor and felony crimes. We take an aggressive approach on behalf of our clients, never assuming the prosecution can prove its case, and filing motions of discovery until we are satisfied that we know how they plan to proceed.
We build our own case based on a thorough discovery process. We seek, find, and exploit weaknesses in the prosecutions case. Our suppression motions are well-founded and well-researched. Our requests for dismissals and acquittals are based on systematic, detail-focused case preparation and presentation. We make use of computer applications and other technology to help document and present our cases to a jury.
