About Ethan
Ethan Kaplan is a native of Des Moines, Iowa. He grew up the son of a trial attorneys and was passionate about becoming a lawyer from the time of his earliest memories. Mr. Kaplan received his B.F.A. from Iowa State University in 2003. He then attended Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas, where he obtained his juris doctrate and participated in Washburn's Moot Court program. After law school, he joined his father's general litigation practice handling all types of legal matters.
In 2009, Mr. Kaplan moved back to Kansas with his family. He started his firm, Kaplan Law Firm, P.A. and operates as "Of Counsel" out of Bretz & Young law office in Hutchinson, Kansas.
In addition to practicing law, he is a part-time instructor teaching law and government classes at Hutchinson Community College.
Mr. Kaplan is proficient in Social Security Disability law and represents claimants at all levels of the application process.
In addition to handling Social Security Disability claims, he handles all other types of legal matters in the areas of immigration law, domestic law, business and commercial law, contract law, real estate law, criminal defense and general litigation.
Mr. Kaplan is licensed in Kansas and Iowa, and by the United States District Courts in Kansas and Iowa. He has also practiced before the Tribal Court of the Sac and Fox Tribe of the Mississippi in Iowa. He is and has been a member of a number of legal associations, which include, the American Bar Association, the Kansas Bar Association, the Iowa State Bar Association, the National Organization of Social Security Claimant's Representatives, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Fees depend on and vary by case type. Options may include a flat fee or hourly fee. In most cases, there is no fee for Social Security Disability Representation unless approved for benefits.
