Not sure about the rest of Allianz but dealing with the travel insurance portion of the company is quite un-enjoyable. The link on their site for a description of documents to submit is broken and when i called into customer service to ask about the documents, she was extremely rude and not helpful in the slightest. In addition, they have American Airlines offer you travel insurance from Allianz before purchasing a flight which makes it seem like they will reimburse any reasonable circumstance for a canceled flight (the terms are not clearly stated unless you are directly on the Allianz site) but the terms for getting a refund are a little bit absurd; you pretty much have to have some one in your family going to the hospital. i feel very cheated as the only reason i did not put said trip on hold instead of purchasing it on the spot was because i was under the impression Allianz would issue the refund. Edit: at least AA was helpful and it was actually quite easy to get a refund from Allianz for the ~$45 they charged
They charged my card 3x instead of once. One of the policys was a failed payment so I’m not understanding how thag we through. My bank doesn’t even show declined payments it’s either overfraft or nothing. In fine print it says the charger on your card should be dropped in business days, but that wasn’t the case here. I have 2 other policies were one is activate, but the other was cancelled & they’re only giving me $36 instead of $72 that a customer sevivce representative previously promised. I called them on Sunday asking someone to review the cll after the representative sid the last one wrote NO NOTES. She told me there are no managers on duty on Sunday so no one can pull that call!
For anyone complaining about not getting a refund…I can 1000% guarantee you didn’t read your full terms & conditions. You 9/10 were not covered for what you weren’t able to go or do. Never had an issue w this company
Like many others here if I could give it 0 stars I would have. I will he reporting them to the Better Business Bureau, they are fraudulent in their insurance marketing and only provide information after the claim has been filed. Do not purchase any insurance from this company they are a totally fraudulent.
It is so sad when you have this insurance in case of emergency and at the end of the day the pain you like 1% off your expenditure it's a shame. Not only that but you have to make multiple calls a multiple follow-ups before you get your questions answered. They do not on any updated status. I they customer service need to be upgraded to the New Age movement.
