I hired this firm with the hope of alleviating stress from my life, however, they added more stress and frustration, and they charged me almost $7000 for that! Where do I even begin with the catastrophe that is Antonyan Miranda Law Firm? From start to finish, my experience with this firm has been nothing short of a nightmare. The first red flag happened in late May, days after I hired them, they sent a letter to the opposing party to the wrong email address. This first mistake delayed my case more than 2 months. Then, in August I was told that my case was ready to be filed to the court. However, they waited until December to finally file my case to the court. Between those months, I reached out multiple times to get updates on my case, but my attorney wouldn't respond to my emails or phone calls. And whenever she decided to respond she kept apologizing for the delay and assuring me that my case was ready to be filed. I got charged an insane amount of money every month from August until December when they decided to finally file. Unfortunately, this negligence continued. Weeks before the court date, I reached out to my attorney specifically asking if they were able to serve the opposite part. I never hear back at all. Then 4 days before the scheduled court date, I reached out to my attorney and ONLY because I reached out to her, she informed me that they couldn't serve the opposite party and that she was going to postpone the court date. This last-minute update just proved to me that this firm doesn't care about their clients, they only care about charging an insane amount of money with the minimum excuse. After I complained about the lack of competence and mediocre service from my attorney. As a supposed gesture of goodwill, they offered me an appointment with one of their "top" attorneys to review my case, implying that I should be grateful for such an opportunity. However, I'm not interested in wasting more time with this firm. Don't fall for their marketing tactics or their positive reviews. I overlooked the bad reviews, and that cost me A LOT almost 7,000 dollars. Save yourself many headaches and stay away from this firm. Trust me when I say that the size of their firm means nothing regarding their ability to handle cases effectively. If anything, it only magnifies their incompetence.

I had a great experience working with Reina Cruz and Adrian Lara during my divorce. Initially seeking to resolve things directly with my ex spouse, when things devolved with her of course I moved to legal representation. Reina's legal expertise helped clarify and make the process more understandable, including what I might expect to be liable for if we went to a trial, which is very useful to know when negotiating a payout settlement with my ex-spouse. Before speaking with Reina I was looking at the simple divorce calculator, which was quite different from the actual, more realistic assessment (Reina's) which helped a lot, being more favorable to my case. In addition, her patience, expertise, advocacy, professionalism, and communication, helped to make the situation go as smoothly as possible. Adrian was always very attentive and responsive as well. I'm grateful to have contacted Reina and Antonyan Miranda and would highly recommend both to anyone going through the divorce process.

It’s been almost a year since I retained this law firm and it was a huge mistake. I won’t get into details but my attorney wasn’t much help: not updating me on anything, not following up on anything, forgetting court times. Not to mention when I had a complaint I called and whoever answered the phone was incredibly rude. Cost: After paying the 7500 retainer, I didn’t expect to deplete my entire investment portfolio. I paid these people over 20k to do a subpar job and anytime I asked for a breakdown of the price (which was usually 2500 per month) despite what they did, it took at least a week for them to get me a list of what they actually charged me for and it was vague at that. Unprofessionalism- Besides the aforementioned facts, I had a paralegal that I had been working with since my attorney was busy and he worked as his attorney. Everything had been going fine as far as communication until one day, my paralegal just stopped responding. Turns out I had to call to find that he no longer worked there(no one took the initiative to tell me) Then I was speaking with someone that worked in billing and then she stopped responding. At first they said she was sick and then said she didn’t work there any more. Significant Incident: I told my lawyer that my child’s mother and I agreed for me to pay 1k per month and I had already paid 1 month of that. When we went to court she denied it and would you imagine what my lawyer said? He tells me that he doesn’t remember me telling him that I already gave her 1k even though I sent him proof. Needless to say, I had to pay back pay for that. Not to mention that she (my child’s mother) sued me for attorney fees when I’M the one who took her to court. You would think a competent attorney from a semi reputable law firm would show the judge evidence that she should be the one paying me for attorney fees but no, he didn’t and acted like he didn’t know what was going on. Also we were supposed to be to court at 10:30 one morning as opposed to 8 and I knew that but my attorney told me it was 8 even though everyone specifically heard 10:30. Needless to say we were sitting there alone hearing other cases for about 2 hours. Man if I could take my money back, I would. The best thing about this law firm is the window view from the high rise our dollars mistakenly pay for.

The worst legal group! They miss deadlines, do the most expensive and meaningless procedures and make numerous mistakes at clients expense. I lost: 2 cases they were handling . It started out great ,I felt confident with John Melvin. Quickly his disorganization caused problems, lack of focus and no follow thru. Months of nothingness. ( which is what lost my case ,didn’t file on time) never negotiated with other side like instructed . Kathleen Raya overseeing him, stated oh problems and when John missed deadlines they changed the agreement . Then the firm Partner threatened me , stating pay again as they changed agreement after I paid huge sums ( For nothing) day before court . It is unethical to intimate a client and threaten to not show up for court especially day before court. I was so rattled and yet I was paying them to win my case. They did nothing to win. I totally lost out gigantic amounts that John 95% guaranteed yes I will get it all plus penalties to other parties . Yet this is how this firm conducts itself . Deviously. I suppose a few wins and mostly loses but they get paid! I am sorry no one warned me until I told people I was with this firm and attorneys know not a good honorable firm .

Love this firm! Sydney C. was my attorney & she did an amazing job! Would absolutely recommend it for anyone looking to hire the best family law firm in San Diego!
