I have been a patient of Dr Armstrong’s for over 10 years. He is a great dentist and saved my teeth. I had four bottom teeth that were loose. After him adjusting my bite little by little and doing gum grafts which I did desperately need, my teeth have tightened up and remain in my mouth 10 years later now pain free. A number of other dentists I visited before him wanted to pull my teeth. Obviously, after 10 years, they didn’t need to be pulled. I appreciate this dentist so much. He’s done a lot for me and my family.
Dr. Armstrong is a GREAT DENTIST!!! I have been a patient for 10 years. I am grateful for his passion to take the BEST care of his patients. I appreciate the way he cleans my teeth. As I want to keep my teeth. When he is done I know they are cleaned the ultimate best. He does his cleanings the exact way a specialist dentist cleans teeth. Again I WANT TO KEEP MY TEETH. I know it is also my responsibility to floss and brush daily to keep my teeth and my body healthy. When I do brush and floss daily my gums are healthy, and do not hurt after he cleans my teeth!! I look forward to having him clean my teeth. He explains very well where I understand all the procedures he does, as Dr. Armstrong does all of the dental procedures . I know for a fact that what ever needs to be done it will all be done with excellence. He discusses with me, matter of fact manner, exactly what is happening, why and how to take care of everything that needs to be done. I definitely recommend Dr. Armstrong to other people that want to keep their teeth and have the very best dental care.
Approximately 10 years ago, I saw Dr. Armstrong very briefly. I had a cleaning/checkup and later a root canal. I stopped going after two appointments for the much the same reasons as have been listed - abrasiveness and rude behavior. Why am I writing now? I just came from my current, wonderful dentist. Had to go in because a crown came off while I was eating last week. The tooth is full of decay and rot and cannot be saved. Dr. Armstrong drilled through a crown to do the root canal and filled it with TEMPORARY filling material! Of course it didn't keep decay out of the tooth! Plus I couldn't tell anything was going wrong because of the root canal deadening the pain and x-rays can't see through the crown to see an issue. Now facing an implant situation that will likely cost upwards of $4000. Stay away!
Before even doing much of an exam, Dr. Armstrong started exclaiming how I have receding gums, and urgently needed a gum tissue graft, which he just happens to do himself, and I should schedule this surgery right away. After reading his google reviews (that have since disappeared since he's at a new location), he apparently tells this to everyone. For the record, I've been going to dentists for years and no one has been concerned about my gums. When I commented I probably didn't want to have surgery, he became passive aggressive and the cleaning began getting rougher, often scratching my gums excessively. The entire 30 minutes I was there, he never stopped pushing for me to get this surgery, getting sassy the less interested I was. Don't bother going to this dentist unless you want to hear an extended, self-serving surgery pitch from a narcissist sticking sharp instruments in your mouth.
I just finished having major work done on my teeth. I had what Dr. Armstrong coined as "a smile adjustment" which included gum surgery, new caps, new veneers, an implant, and several crowns to replace old amalgam fillings. This process took over a year or two (mostly by my choice) and I have been very pleased. You have to realize that before I was a patient of Dr. Armstrong, I had extreme anxiety when going to the dentist. Because of his gentleness and positive attitude I have been able to go for cleanings and minor work with no anxiety at all. A big part of the great atmosphere at his office is because of Shiela, his assistant and jack of all trades. Thanks to both of you.
