You know it's a terrible sign when your own attorney seems to be supporting your opponent instead of you... And yet, that's EXACTLY how it felt to have her representing me. Instead of listening to her client's wishes, she would go ahead with her own agenda and I would literally have to repeatedly contact her over and over (she never responds quickly **unless it's about payment**) & BEG her to set up a meeting before going into court appearances. She was also repeatedly last-minute with paperwork. Eventually it got to the point where her decisions benefited my opponent significantly more than me, and when I tried asking her what in the world she is thinking, she responded immediately by saying that if I do not like her work then find somebody else...She offered no apology, she offered no resolution. Eventually it got to the point where I had to fire her after her repetitive neglectful behaviors and severe misrepresentation: She decided to submit paperwork **without my knowledge and/or consent** that negatively affected my case, so I had no choice but to fire her on the spot. Instead of working with me, she told me several times in professional-speech that "if I don't like her then find somebody else." She also outright refused to do anything about the paperwork she filed without consenting with me. I AM STILL LIVING WITH THE NEGATIVE REPERCUSSIONS CAUSED BY HER HORRIBLE AND NEGLECTFUL REPRESENTATION. IT IS BEST TO AVOID HER AT ALL COSTS...Oh, and don't worry, those costs are high! She charges quite a big higher than the average family court lawyer that I looked for (but she came recommended), and her services are severely lesser quality. While there be no way to "prove" it, I was also double-billed at one point. Terrible, Terrible, Terrible. Not once, after the very beginning, did I honestly feel she had my best interest in mind. I could not recommend her any less. You have been warned!

Gloria Copland was my attorney in 2015. I’m writing this because I just read the negative reviews. I have to say that Gloria and her staff were totally professional and accommodating in every way. Gloria spoke truth about my financial future. She said I fear for you because you’re not gonna make it. It’s not what you want to hear, but it was the truth of the matter. I don’t call that insensitive, I call that advising her client of the hard true facts and is honest advice. It is 3 years since the divorce, getting the maximum amount of money and I’m getting buried in debt. I didn’t have another option so it is what it is, but I would be more concerned if an attorney told you all was gonna be roses and lied to you. So I would definitely recommend Gloria.

I was going through a very difficult post divorce legal settlement that was compounded by lack of legal advice through the actual divorce and then poor representation just prior to the divorce. I sought attorney Gloria Copland's legal advice when I had almost given up. She is an expert in her field and is extremely compassionate and professional. Her entire team is sensitive and caring to the needs of the client. They go above and beyond what anyone would or could expect from a legal team. I would highly recommend this firm if you are going through a divorce or family law issues.

Called for info re: first name of Copeland just to confirm I had the correct firm. The Secretary was VERY RUDE & seemed rushed.. Geesh!!...I do know Gloria is THE BEST. Some one needs to talk to the secretary or whatever her title is answering the line. I think she could use a professional development class or 2.

Called for a consultation. Pretty insensitive, borderline rude, cut me off alot to ask her own questions instead of listen to the client. Very different from all other lawyers I have spoken to. Didn't give me any of the confidence that I was looking for.
