Kelly was recommended by a friend's attorney for my car accident case. She was very positive and encouraging, and was experienced in working with insurance companies and medical records. She explained procedures and expectations clearly. Kelly's legal assistant Kathryn was also quite friendly and helpful. I appreciated the phone messages and e-mails and they were always quick to respond to my questions or concerns. From the moment I signed the contract, I felt that Kelly would take care of the paperwork while I healed. She did. She worked with the insurance and medical companies to get the best settlements possible. Without her support, negotiations with the insurance companies would have gone very differently. I have recommended Balamuth Law to others already, and look forward to doing so again in the future.
I went to ms.kelly to help me fight back a law firm that misrepresented & discriminated the individuals in my case, kelly was very happy to help & gave great advice in the beginning. I signed forms with her & didnt hear anything for a month. A month later she wrote me thru email , saying she was dropping my case. She didnt want to talk to me or explain she just said shes dropping it. Regardless of the fact that she knew all the information on my case, it was a motorcycle accident, i have 4 broken back bones and a broken wrist, my attorneys settled without me wanting to & took the settlement of the premium of the insurance. which was nothing for these injuries. Our old attorneys discriminated us due to someone on the case being a felon (which has nothing to do with a motorcycle accident or me the passenger) but they closed the case behind our backs & i have the proof! They told us it was due to my bf being a felon, weird right? Where heres were it gets weirder The second kelly called my old attorney’s she dropped my case immediately & refused to talk to me , super sketchy (cash offer i suppose?) the firm that she was going to be going after is a HUGE firm in los angeles & they probably bribed her, they bribed me to put down my review of them as well so i can imagine they definitely didnt want her to tarnish their names either ! Thanks for wasting my time kelly i wouldve found a good attorney if u wouldnt have wasted my time!
I don't often write reviews, but folks should know this is a great firm with very high standards. Personally, Kelly Balamuth knows her business and assesses information quickly She partners well with her clients, sets reasonable time lines and checks in appropriately. I find her to be an excellent educator, providing good explanations of what choices are available and why. Even when she's particularly busy, Kelly gives me her undivided attention and knows how to listen. Aside from her obvious professional talent, her positive attitude, calming demeanor, and tactful guidance are special qualities. Kelly came highly recommended by a colleague. I can also recommend her to anyone who needs a really good Personal Injury attorney. Kelly cares about her client's welfare and certainly goes the extra mile when representing them..
[The abbreviated review: Retain Kelly! She is immensely capable and supportive, and will get you the best results possible.] Choosing Kelly to represent me on my personal injury matter was one of the best decisions I ever made. She is a lawyer of the highest caliber. Working in the legal field myself, I was reticent to hire a lawyer, but Kelly was referred to me by a good friend. As soon as Kelly took on my case, she explained to me every step of what it would look like. I had been hit by a car as a pedestrian - I was in pain, distressed, and under a great deal of financial pressure to pay my medical bills. Kelly made sure I understood all of my options. When the driver turned out to be uninsured, I panicked. Kelly fully investigated and then redirected the personal injury claim to my own uninsured motorist policy. I was often frantic and demanding, but Kelly remained calm, assuring me at all points of the arbitration that she knew what she was doing, was confident she could reimburse me for all my medical expenses, and had no worries about the process. When I was deposed over a year later, I explained how the injuries were causing continued pain and difficulties. Kelly pulled me aside afterwards and played more the role of a friend. She told me that I should expect a full recovery and settle for nothing less. She explained that if I negotiated a settlement in my current condition, I might get less than I needed for future effects of the injuries; that I should be sure my treatments were completed before I accepted any amount of money. Kelly was right. I was nowhere near as recovered as I could be, and the process of getting to where I am now resulted in more medical bills. In the depression after my accident, I had accepted an idea that I would never be fully recovered and that I would always suffer from some pain. While I may never be the same after the accident, I was able to make significant improvements when returning to physical therapy. I am so grateful that she pushed me in this direction. I was despondent and would not have pushed myself to do the same. When the settlement negotiations finally arrived, Kelly was incredible. She talked me through every negotiation she made, she was stone-faced and ruthless with opposing counsel, and she pushed for an offer that far exceeded my expectations. Afterwards, she convinced the health insurance company to drop their lien and not subrogate on my settlement, giving me an even higher percentage of the settlement. It was never really about the money for me (beyond reimbursing myself for the insane costs I had already paid). The settlement was closure for me, the recognition that something bad happened to me, and the security of knowing I could turn my life around (financially and otherwise) afterwards. Kelly gave me far more than that. She got me a settlement that ensures if something like this ever happened again, I would not have to worry about how I'd pay for it. I can't express what a relief this is. It was like she took away all the PTSD - I may not be able to stop someone from plowing me over with their car, but at least I'd be okay financially, and at least I'd know there was the possibility of improvement. Kelly gave me peace of mind, and I am so incredibly grateful. She fought hard, created thoughtful and effective work product, and demonstrated compassion at every stage. For anyone in my situation, afraid of what will happen to them financially after an accident or worried about their recovery, I would hope they would find Kelly as well. My deepest thanks to you, Kelly, for all your hard-fought work. You have been a guardian angel over the past few years. I am so very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with you.
Kelly and her staff are amazing. She took a case that had a very limited time to resolve before the statute of limitations ran out, and she met all the deadlines. She works with you and makes you feel like you are a member of her family. Kelly is always available and explains everything clearly. When one is facing a situation of death or injury of a loved one, it is important to have an attorney who understands your pain. I highly recommend Kelly Balamuth to anyone who needs her type of assistance. The whole case could simply have not gone any smoother. My whole family extends our thanks to Kelly for what she has done for us. Jane
