When I searched for an attorney I extensively read reviews to make sure I was hiring someone I could trust. I came across some not-so- favorable reviews of Chris Banas Family Law. I assumed it was a "few and far between" or I noticed whenever there was a bad review of him he would defend it as disgruntled apposing party, etc. I can assure you that what I'm posting in this review, is 100% fact. I had the worst experience with working with him on my case. He first qouted me a price and we told him we could not afford any more than the qoute. This man padded the bill and went out of his way to make unnecessary calls to me and apposing party in order to charge me triple from what the qoute was. Throughout the process he was doing everything he could to keep it out of court because honestly he didn't seem to have any confidence with being able to argue a case in court. He made multiple expensive decisions without my knowledge or consent all in the interest of charging me more money. His communication was non-existent and when questioned about his charges he couldn't provide any proof that any of the work he claims he did was even done. In the end I contacted my ex wife to settle on our own and even after that, the closing of my case lingered on and again sent a bill that doesn't justify the lack of work he did on my case. I would serious advise anyone thinking of giving Chris Banas Law group the benefit of the doubt, a serious rethinking! The practices of this law firm are border line illegal. When I called him out on some of the charges on my bill he back paddled and told.me to.come.up with a price to pay him so I wouldn't go further back through my bill disputing the validity of the charges. It got so bad at one point that I told him to stop working on my case and to stop billing me... I was emailed a bill a month after the fact where he kept working on my case and charging me. Chris Banas will tell you during the initial interview whatever it takes to get you to hire him and he will bill you over and over again. My case ended over a month ago and he and I agreed on being "even" on the bill and today I received yet another bill.. seriously people, do not use this law firm. If Chris Banas tries to post a rebuttle depending himself on this review, I will post email, text,and voicemails proving all that I say in this review. He's extremely shady and should stop taking advantage of people.

Mr Banas was exactly the kind of lawyer I needed. He is aggressive and a professional. I have retained Mr Banas multiple times and have always been impressed.

Completely irresponsible and a total waste of money. Stay away!!
