Barnes & Noble, Inc.

Glad to see Barnes & Noble hanging in there. Most locations have the same layout and mostly the same selections, so this one was no different. Store is clean, spacious, and well stocked. If you frequent this business, you already know what's in here from the children's area to the 'cafe' area and all in between. There is a nice Harry Potter area for fans to enjoy and the children's area is stocked well. I didn't have any employee interactions, which was fine as I didn't need assistance as I was just browsing. Prices are what they are. Located in the Cortlandt Town Center, they have their own parking area (though you can walk from any area in the Center), so you don't need to deal with the madness or some of the bad drivers in the main lot. Say what you will about Barnes & Noble - and I've said it myself - the business is not perfect and has its flaws, but it's still nice to have a place where you can hold a book and browse books the way you want to in the world of digital phasing out some physical forms of media (which I'm not a fan of - whether books or movies). Nice location and I'd come back if in the area again.

I absolutely love this place, they have such a great kids section. My son is a big reader so it’s nice to have a book store where he can explore! My only feedback is in hopes they use it for their benefit. The cafe baked goods can be stale. We got a cupcake and the frosting was hard and when my son bit it, it crumbled like dust. Would love fresh treats :) Other than that this place is absolutely amazing! Great staff, great Starbucks drinks, just all around a gem!

One time that I wanted to try to customize my drink freaking one time, this old guy that apparently the only staff that making drink there even though there are 3 staffs there, being rude and said that I ordered it wrong and when I asked to have sweet vanilla cream instead of coconut milk in the pink drink, he said it would be 26 pumps of the vanilla cream, and he said he just tried to educates me, while I was being patient and calm he said I was holding up the line but there was nobody behind me before that like 2 second ago. I usually only get black coffee and one time I want to customize my drink of course this happened, if you get upset while people want to customize their drinks then don’t have the customize option then. He was being really rude and probably having a bad day because the fact that he was the only staff that making drinks and taking orders even though they have 2 cash registers but only one open. I feel bad for them that they hate their job so much. I hope they get what they want to do and finally happy with their life.

I love books and reading. If you're in agreement check this place out. Really nice staffers too??????

I love bookstores. Unfortunately they have only a limited range of titles and it takes them a long time to get it in. I don’t think they realize that Amazon delivers in one to two days. Wish this store —an BN—could do a better job.
