"I was in town for a conference and needed a break from conference food. I had the hankering for barbecue and 4 Rivers had great reviews - rightly so. Hungry as I was, I decided to go for the Pitmaster. Turns out it was way more food than I could possibly handle. I ended up going for the burnt ends, pulled pork, brisket, and sausage. For my sides, I got the grits and fried pickles (why not). And for good measure I threw in a Buckeye ball for dessert and washed it all down with sweet tea (a must). Everything was immensely tasty - especially the burnt ends. Their homemade barbecue sauce was a perfect complement. The servers were friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was warm and friendly. I couldn't ask for anything more. And all this at a great price."

"I was on the way to dinner with a co-worker and we actually drove by 4 Rivers on our way to another destination. My co-worker was familiar with 4 Rivers and had high regard so we changed our destination. SO glad we did. I wasn't quite sure how to order so I told the employee to suggest something for a first timer, I think he recommended the Texas two step. While the meat was good, it was nothing compared to the bacon wrapped jalapenos. My god am I a sucker for bacon wrapped jalapenos with cream cheese. We actually make them at home. I was really surprised to see them offered as sides here. So when it came to my choice of two sides, while they had many good ones to choose from, it was a no brainer for me. I asked if I was allowed to double down on my sides and the employee said yes, so I told her jalapenos all the way. I would have to say they were the highlight of the visit. Did I mention that they were smoked?! I would come back for the jalapenos alone. I kind of feel bad because I feel like the rest of the menu did not really have a fair chance with me ;)"

"Oh, 4 Rivers - a beloved Orlando restaurant. I haven't been to 4 Rivers in years. I finally returned to try some ribs. I think they have gone a bit downhill over the years. I guess that's normal since they have commercialized and franchised and whatnot. Service was so-so. Staff wasn't terrible, but they weren't that nice either. The outside self-service counter was missing a couple of items too. Anyways, the quarter rack of ribs was good. The meat was very tender. I ordered the mac & cheese and fries as sides. The mac & cheese is quite good, the fries not so much. 3 stars. I think they are still pretty good."
