"An amazing, timeless bar from a bygone era that is worth your time and your (cash only) money. If you weren't looking for it, you'd drive right by. Some might even say it's location is 'At Random'. Nestled in the residential nabe of Bay View, this timless gem on S. Delaware blends in with the surrounding homes, hiding in plain sight. Enter through the back of the property into the best parts of the bygone era of 1964. Dimly, dimly lit with banquettes along one side, the bar stacked with glassware of various types and sizes. The occasional whir and clankety buzz of a commercial blender pulling together classic cocktail combinations beckons you closer. This is no ordinary bar. This. Is At Random. Except nothing about this bar is Random. One of the lovely septuagenarian ladies will greet you and guide you through the labyrinth of tables and mid 60's amazingness to your seat. Party of 2? Be prepared to sit next to your companion. It's what you did in 1964. The menu plops down without applomb. It's a three ring binder. From an office supply store. And there are only 8, so don't think you get to keep it for a while and browse. Decisions, decisions! The front half is a mix of classic-ish cocktails and tiki inspired libations. Don't think you're getting something with a shrub or rosemary mint infused simple syrup. This isn't a hipster bar. This is 1964. But the magic really happens when you look for Sammy Davis, Jr. No, really. A smiling photocopied picture of SDJr graces the divider between the drinks and The Drinks. Flip past Sammy and you're into the real of ice cream drinks. Lovely, fattening, deadly ice cream drinks. Old school classics like the Pink Squirrel and the Grasshopper, Almonds Joy or the Cadillac. Spend some time - browse carefully and dive right in. And don't be in a rush. Good drinks take time. It arrives in an glass that is reminiscent of an ice cream shop, often topped with whipped cream, a straw and a tasty little cookie perched atop the straw. Mine this time (and I've been many times) was the Grasshopper for $9 - a blended combination of Creme de menthe, creme de cacao and ice cream. Buyer beware - you'll convince yourself there is no booze in these little beauties. But, oooooh boy there is. After 53 years they've clearly mastered the art of the well made drink. Neighborhood street parking available, but it is cash only, so plan accordingly. Or, use the on-premise ATM. And tip the servers! It's again rumored that the owners want to sell and finally retire (again). This is a must visit spot when in Milwaukee!"

"Take a step back in time. Not only has this place not changed- the waitresses and barkeeps haven't changed. Still just a binder to order drinks out of. They only have 8- so you can't keep it at your table. Tables are small- for parties of 2...mostly. Not many more. Cash bar. No beer. No wine. But the ice cream drinks and ambience are top notch."

"Be careful here. The decor - lovingly old time-y. The staff - hilarious. The drinks - delicious. The alcohol - it creeps up on you because you can't taste it, and then boom, you're wondering what the heck happened to you! This place is known for its ice cream drinks, and oh boy are they delicious! I had a taste of the raspberry chocolate and mint chocolate - all were fantastic. The love punch comes with a nice ceremony. Do NOT order this drink for yourself - it could easily satiate 5+ individuals, it is that large! This is a great place to end the night - it's dark, comfy, and sweet. Not exactly the place to be to start off a bumping night, but a perfect place to end it."
