I first met Daniel or Dan as I always called him around 1994 or 95. I was a licensed plumber for 20+ years. For our retirement, my wife and I bought and renovated gutted out shells. We tried to provide very large 1 or 2 bedroom apartments. Hoping to attract some professional tenants without large families In all we had bought, renovated, rented and years later sold 7 buildings, 4 on Liberty street, 1 on Ann Street, 1 on Washington Street and 1 on Renwick. Each project required a lawyer for the purchase , most were refinanced to start the next project, later contracts needed for when we sold them. All in all I would guess I had approximately between 20 to 25 closings with Dan Bloom, and with Kevin Bloom after leaving Miami as a Asst. District Attorney ( ADA) for several years , to join the family firm. Peter Bloom represented me on several matter, which included 2 divorces and a criminal matter, where I was falsely accused of a minor assault, and shortly afterwards the case was dismissed. Each closing was done without a hitch or delay, and some were very complicated because of grant funds needed to restore these historic buildings. In all my years of being a client of Bloom & Bloom, all the staff were there until their retirement. That alone says something about any business and its employees. The last item I would like to note is, whenever I called regarding any matter and Dan, Peter or Kevin and they were at court or a closing, I received a return call that afternoon or evening. With Newburgh's struggle to re-invent itself, in 1950 Life magazine declared Newburgh the best City per capital or population. Many new people are buying these beautiful old historic building and restoring them. Whenever I was asked if I could recommend a good Attorney, I said without hesitation, use Bloom & Bloom and you will be happy they are handling your needs.
