A credit card that I’ve never had hit my credit saying that I owe $2071. I just bought a home and they made me pay off every credit card on my credit report that had a balance in order to buy my home last year. The card that they are saying I owe money on was never on my credit report, not was it my card. A company named Oliphant posted a collections account on my account and then turned it over to this company for whatever reason. I am going to be filing a claim with the BBB and then speaking to an attorney regarding this account. These companies need to be exposed and that’s what I’m going to do to them.
If I could give zero I would. The debt in itself that I owe is what is. What makes me upset is the company was totally unwilling to negotiate with me but when I hired help from an attorney they were willing to help. Which I find hilarious because the women who works clearly stated to me they don’t make negotiations for medical debt which is obviously BS. Unfortunately we were not able to resolve this issue with them before our court date so I had went to court on October 10th the set summons date by Borenstein and guess what no one from there office showed. So I called the office just to let them know I showed up and the women on the phone transferred me to Mr. Borenstein line where I was able to leave a messages. No one returned my call and now they had the Audacity to send me a judgment in the mail when they are the ones who didn’t show up to court. This law firm does not take its clients seriously so I suggest you don’t take them seriously either
I was connected with Borenstein and Associates for a debt I did not know I had, I spoke with Gina who was able to explain the situation and set me up with a reasonable payment plan. I never had any issues with payments taken out on time and was able to resolve this debt sooner than expected. The times that I did communicate with Gina she was always friendly and helpful.
You set up payment plans and they are to be taken out in a timely manner. These guys do not honor their end of the verbal agreement. This is the second time my payment has not come out of my account when it is supposed to. So, they are in breach of our verbal contract. I have bank statements for proof. So, apparently we need to redo our verbal contract as they can’t hold up their end of the verbal contract. I watch my bank account like an eagle at the end of each month. They have only gotten it right once because I told them it should’ve been done. Now we will redo this contract come soon and if they refuse well then I’ll be in their office for written contract. Ridiculous! Oh and it will be with a debt relief lawyer to boot. Two can play this game.
How embarrassing this firm is. Anyone representing them should be ashamed. Whoever handles the calls was completely rude, hung up on me multiple times when I asked her name she said she is not giving me her name. I wanted to just set up payments toward a restitution I owed and she continued to cut me off and not answer simple questions I had about the letter. I don’t know how she even obtained the position she has but her employer should definitely rethink who they have in that position when they’re trying to collect money. Especially when someone is trying to pay. I will definitely be paying the law firm a visit and speaking with a superior since she refused to direct me or transfer me. She’s worthless to say the least.
