I have been to several therapists in my life, and from my experience Lois is the best. You have to be able to connect with someone to talk openly about yourself. What is different about Lois is that she is unstructured in her way of communicating with you; it's almost like she tries to catch you off guard and out of your comfort zone. I've learned that until you are pushed beyond those boundaries, you don't learn from your mistakes or realize how important it is to repeat the things you did right. Go see her!
My main problem with Lois is that she does not listen. She is religious and I am not, yet she would give me "homework" like sitting in nature and try to listen to God talking to me or praying. Also instead of me being able to tell her my negative self speak myself I had to tell her about it through a rat puppet. I literally almost walked out of my appt when she pulled the puppet out. I give her six sessions and I learned nothing of use. Plus she is over priced and doesn't take insurance.
