They came to own the park across the street, but it is actually owned by the city who pays millions each year to maintain it. They enforce rediculous rules and dress codes. It is supposed to be a PUBLIC PLACE according to their lease for the property. Please don’t support these bigots.

Brown and brown's fort Lauderdale location doesn't return calls and answer there phones, However each location is privatly owned. There Daytona beach headquarter was very helpfull and got me the direct number for my communities agent. Even though the office didn't return my call for over 2 weeks once I spoke with Nicholas he was very helpfull and did a great job. Management check your office staff I left over 5 voice mails with no answer or call back.

Nothing bit problems with this agency. You have to consistantly remind them regarding premiums and coverages. They do not help get set up on getting autopay set up. Info on your policy needs to be chased down. You have to do their work for them. Chasing them for business is tiring. The first year we had nothing bit cancelled policies due to misrepresentation on behalf of agency. And the second year nothing went smooth. This will be the last year we use them.

I have had nothing but problems with Brown and Brown and with the insurance they provided (Philadelphia Insurance), specifically the office in Daytona. (John Bell and John Kulzer) My company provides education to seniors, and as of March 13th, we could no longer do so and I immediately lost 85% of my revenue. I called Jeff to cancel my policy and two hours later, Philadelphia took almost $1400.00 out of my bank account, when I only owed them $736.00. They said it would be two to four weeks before I received a refund. A little over four weeks later, I received a check for $306.00...but they owed me $641.00. The communication we received regarding our refund was very misleading, and they refused to refund the correct amount. It turns out, Brown and Brown took out a penalty fee for cancelling the policy. (Even though I had paid what was due up to that date.) The saddest part of this is that they emptied the bank account of a small business that services seniors while I was trying to find a way to continue helping them from home, and left me with nothing... AND they did this during a world-wide crisis (pandemic) then charged me a penalty on top of it all. We have been trying to get Brown and Brown to refund the money for weeks, and they refuse. Find a trustworthy insurance company, and don't use a broker...because they don't care about their customers...and in the end...it will cost you.

I needed builders risk insurance for my home build. My original policy expired without a renewal option. I called two other agencies and could only find a very overpriced policy for a longer term than i needed without ability to cancel. Called Brown and Brown and they came through with a solution. Good people. Will use the again.
