PREDATORY PRACTICE: This firm “reached out” by means of threatening a lawsuit over a surprise medical bill we knew nothing about. We had been making payments to the same entity about a separate bill when we received an extortion letter from these people. I had thought we worked it out, explained how we couldn’t pay the amount in full and offered a settlement. I have zero faith this group presented the settlement offer and demanded payment in full for this new debt. Shame on me for choosing to get cancer, am I right? So we scrounge to make this payment, do exactly what they ask. Three days later they have the nerve to claim we now owe them even more money. Is this a law office where people actually went to law school and passed the BAR, or is this some front? Bruce and Lehman should be ashamed of themselves and had I known being treated for cancer would have been this much of a deep dive into human greed, I would have just died instead.
