This was the most horrible experience I’ve ever experienced with a lawyer. I was helping my friend through a situation and referred him thinking he would be helpful. Ringer rushed our case, did not look at any of the evidence we presented against the landlord, and did not do anything that we asked. After begging to speak to him for several days (and not the secretary) we were only able to speak to him 10 minutes before our court time. During which time, he was rude and condescending. In the end, the judgement was literally what we had already agreed on prior to obtaining a lawyer (which is not what we wanted and which is why we hired him in the first place). Both the lawyer for the landlord and Ringer felt very chummy in court and we felt like we got the short end of the stick. If you’re in a serious bind and want someone who ACTUALLY CARES, he’s not that guy.

Mr. Ring is Unprofessional, Rude and is deceptive with his Billing. He became unhinged and very angry when I asked him to show me the Bills and payments received for services rendered from my elderly Mother. PLEASE keep all receipts. If you do not have your receipts he will try to claim they did not receive payments. I am thankful that there is the Bar Association to investigate fraudulent and deceptive practices from Attorney's.

Berton was great helping me with a past problem with a landlord. He was quick to respond and on top of the case every step of the way. He was also very knowledgeable during my intake and presented different ideas on things we could do. I was grateful he came in for the intake because one of his assistants did not seem as knowledgeable. I was very happy with Berton and would definitely contact him again if I ever needed to.

I'm new to Chicago and was taken advantage of by a landlord. As a new transplant I had no idea what to do and found Berton Ring who helped me through the process. He was amazingly responsive and professional. His explanations were thorough and trustworthy. Ultimately he did not take my case, but still helped advise me on next steps which only adds to why you should feel at ease in working with him.

I have worked with Bert over the past year because I was taken advantage of by a company repairing my home after a fire. Bert worked with me within my means and always available. He was fair and honest. I would use him again.
