I have been with the firm since it was just Mr. Whittaker. He and his now developed team have been beside me and my Company for over 20 years. Never has there been a time when I questioned his motives, judgment, or intentions. His no nonsense style and direct approach get the job done. One of the best law firms I have worked with. My business had a detinue case against one of my subcontractors who would not return my equipment. Shawn made time for me the same day I called him. In our initial consultation he provided a lot of information I was not aware of and even gave me a sample discovery request to use. Finally, he also provided legal advice on a separate legal issue that had nothing to do with my detinue case. I highly recommend any business owner in MD to use Whittaker & Associates the next time they have legal problems.

This is a firm where there is no respect. They are full of lies, and deception. They do not care about honesty, they just want money. Shawn Whitaker does NOT care about your case. I would STAY AWAY from this firm at ALL COSTS. Do NOT waste your money coming here. Give your business to an attorney who genuinely cares about you, but Shawn Whitaker is not the guy and his is not a nice person.

This law firm represents fraudulent contractors and managed somehow to remove my previous review without my knowledge. I am reposting my review because everyone should know that this law firm represents fraudulent contractors. Please see my review of VIP Steemer and VIP Restoration, as this is one of the unethical clients that Mr. Whittaker represents. The Whittaker firm sued me for $1753 after I paid his client $1620, the amount of the original estimate given to me by his client to restore drywall in 2 closets. He subpoenaed my insurance company, USAA, to attend court on October 9, 2018. USAA did not show up. His firm objected to USAA's failure to appear and said in court that USAA was ignoring the court subpoena. The court would not allow me to prove my fraud claims and set a new date for court of February 12, 2019. However, USAA did not show up because Mr. Whittaker did not pay USAA's court fees, not because they were ignoring the court subpoena. Thus, Mr. Whittaker mislead the court into thinking that the insurance company was ignoring the subpoena when he knew that he had not paid USAA's bill. Thus, he is as crooked as the clients he represents. If you want to harass someone by bringing fraudulent claims against someone, this is the law firm for you. However, if you are a decent human being, stay away.
