Canyon County Prosecuting Attorney

The people I worked with were nice enough but I feel they did not handle the case well. Looking back on the experience, I feel that more could have been done and that I wasn't taken seriously enough. There was never a real discussion of the case between them and myself, and I've walked away empty handed and with a vulnerable child. We were the victims in the case, and I feel that we were pressured during mediation to agree to a deal that left us with essentially no protection (for my child, from an adult). An adult woman has been verbally abusing my child for over a year and has at one point physically prevented my child from going home (boxed her in on all sides on a sidewalk, between herself, a vehicle, and two teenage boys) and she is facing no repercussions and I am being told there is no law that protects the child in this case. If that is accurate, shame on Idaho for not doing more to make its most vulnerable people safe.

I called the prosecutor's office to file a crime. I have information totally contradictory to a affidavit submitted by someone and the prosecutors office said it was not even worth filing. If I wanted to, I could call the police and see what they say. So are people not supposed to report crimes in Canyon County? I don't understand that county at all:-(

My complaint was summarily dismissed before a court hearing for "lack of Proof". I was never given the opportunity to provide my proof. What a joke this place is...fighting crime and upholding the law...only when it suits them...what a waste... they don't deserve 1 star.

Allow bullies to slam their victims and then not do anything about it. This office is a god damn joke and lazy as can be

Don't even waste your time. If you're a victim of a crime,good luck. They'll dismiss it. Even if a child is involved and traumatized. Even with physical proof.
