If you value honesty, integrity, and professionalism in an attorney, stay far away from the Carroll Law Office. My experience was nothing short of a nightmare, filled with lies, broken promises, and clear violations of legal ethics. Throughout my case, Carroll Law & Chris Carling repeatedly misrepresented facts, failed to communicate important updates, and even disregarded basic duties under the California Rules of Professional Conduct. Some of the most concerning issues included: Dishonesty & False Statements – Lied about case progress, deadlines, and court filings. Failure to Communicate – Ignored emails and calls, leaving me in the dark for weeks. Conflicts of Interest – Took actions that clearly benefited the opposing side instead of advocating for me. Incompetence & Negligence – Missed crucial deadlines, failed to prepare, and showed up unprepared in court. Possible Misuse of Funds – Charged excessive fees for work that was never done. I am filing a complaint with the California State Bar due to these serious ethical violations. If you're looking for an attorney you can trust, look elsewhere. There are many lawyers who respect their clients and the law—this is not one of them. Now they are responding with comments regarding arbitration but that program cost $250 and 5% of the amount. You can't act one way and promise things and then have your staff be extremely disrespectful, yelling and screaming at clients. Gross, fix it.

I'm 75 and getting a divorce! Never in my wildest imagining did I think this milestone-like event would fall at my door, at my age.. but here it is. The Carroll Law Office "mission" is founded (I've no doubt) in a gentle, clear-as-can-be communication philosophy and in this way they chart the most effective and timely path to move into solution.
