I consulted with many attorneys for my divorce case. I had a bad experience before, so I was cautious about hiring another lawyer. I called Castellanos and Associates, and I immediately knew they were the ones I wanted to handle my case. During my consultation, I had many questions, and Edwin Castellanos was patient and assured me that they could take care of my case. I decided to hire Mr. Castellanos to represent me. Edwin and his staff were always very prompt in their responses and were relentless towards opposing counsel. Mr. Castellanos always kept me updated on the progress of my case and made sure I was comfortable with the decisions I was making. Whenever a friend asks me to recommend a family law lawyer, I always send them to Castellanos & Associates.

I hired Edwin Castellanos and his legal team for an ongoing divorce case. The case with my former attorney had gotten very unpleasant. Mr. Castellanos communicated throughout the process and explained legal jargon in an approachable way. Also, compared to the many other lawyers I interviewed and had, he was very reasonable from a price standpoint. Edwin took the case and got me through the divorce without increasing the tension. As a result, we were able to settle three months after I hired Castellanos & Associates. I can not recommend Edwin Castellanos enough.

I was served with a child support motion from the Child Support Services Department. The last time I went to Court against the child support department, I was not able to talk to the Judge, and the Court only listened to the child support attorneys. The order was too high, and the Court did not care that I also had children and other expenses. I was totally taken advantage of. This time I hired Castellanos & Associates to represent me. Having Edwin Castellanos as my attorney was the best decision I ever made. At first, the child support attorneys tried to do the same as before, but this time Mr. Castellanos interrupted the county attorneys and told the Judge my side. After that, Mr. Castellanos took control of the hearing and was able to get me a proper support order. I was completely satisfied with my representation. Even though I had to pay for an attorney, the cost was worth it. I highly recommend Castellanos & Associates if you need an attorney who will fight for you and get results.

During the worst moments of my life, I sought legal assistance from attorney Edwin Castellanos. I was unable to essentially "read the fine print" of the agreement due to the intense emotional state I found myself in. I was living in a state of fight or flight due to domestic issues. I requested an emergency restraining order. I had to call or email consistently to check up on my case because I wasn't updated otherwise. At times his paralegal would answer, put me on hold, come back and tell me he was unavailable. At this point I had not discovered these calls with holds and even short emails were charged at a breakdown of $500 per hour. Short two-sentence emails were charged at 15 minutes. His assistant had me sign a blank document that she would later work on and submit to the court as "my" statement. Huge mistake, I know, please don't judge me, but I was in a lot of fear for my safety and needed urgent legal help. So I was very susceptible to bad decisions. The statement that was written contained FALSE information. Edwin Castellano's office legitimately committed perjury under my name. The opposing party then began to threaten to accuse me of perjury. Way to screw up your client's life even further. Another time when I needed immediate assistance, I was told my $5,000 retainer was up and they could not assist until I replenished it again. I have now come to learn that not all attorneys are created equal and some good ones exist. Edwin Castellanos is not one of them. Stay away! !!BEWARE!! Stay away from this Office and Attorney Castellanos very unprofessional and money hungry. Late for court never answers phone calls unless he needs money. Never replies to emails unless it involves money. Doesn't even speak Spanish like he claims. Hired him 2 times and he managed to do nothing on my Divorce case on my behalf but waste my time and hard earned money. Like others stated the 5 star reviews are fake don't be fooled.
