Jennifer Rodriguez was my little sister’s lawyer, it was a DCFS case. It was a very complicated case and the lawyer didn’t have my sisters or the families best interest at heart. They put my sister back in a home where she was neglected at. Since she is a troubled teen it’s easier to put them back where they came from instead of actually helping. Now her legal guardian has deteriorating health with stage 4 kidney failure and on a transplant list, she is not in school, she got off her medication, and runs around with her boyfriend. There is no adult who cares for her and the only worry is her making it until she’s 18 so the state doesn’t have to care for her. I am so disappointed with this system.

Public defenders assigned for DCFS cases. I had a good experience with T. Lara, however she is no longer there.
