Nowadays the Police Officer seem to wait till the last minute to enter your ticket, I guess it's a way to avoid what I did.... I called every week until I got charged for the Service... after that my case was dismissed after I appeared more than 3 month later (original date was 31/10/24 and my appearance was on 2/3/25) after the layer appeared I was dismissed but I had to return to the court within 2 - 3 months for (I hope) the final decision. I didn't give my tickets, ID, DL, or any letter... only I have to yell HERE when my name was called. I left the courtroom within one (1) hour of the original appointment.
I've been a loyal client of Citizen Law Firm for years and really appreciate what they do. Still, I'm giving 3 stars because of some customer service issues. It would make a big difference if the staff had better phone etiquette and a friendlier tone. Seriously, investing in some training for your team on how to handle calls would really help, since we care about both the services and the overall experience.
Be careful hiring this law firm to handle your tickets. After going to my court date, the lawyer from this law firm showed up 10 mins late to court and never introduced herself except to say she was with Citizen law firm. As she was calling clients up to talk to her, she was giving everyone an attitude. When people walked away from her, she was constantly making facial expressions and mouthing vulgar language in the middle of the courtroom. Then she called my name up and all she asked me was "Can you afford the ticket". I asked if she was going to try and fight it, and she flipped the paper over, and she told me," I can try." Once she was done with everyone she was representing, she went to the prosecutor's office and began talking about her personality life with him and never once talked to him about my case. I stated that because I was sitting right outside of the office and could hear everything she was talking about. So needless to say, I had to pay the ticket since she did absolutely nothing. To top it all off, she arrived to court dress in sneakers, yoga pants, and a causal sweater for court. 100% no professionalism coming from her. Then, I called the office manager to file a complaint about it or see if there was someone who could do something about it. I found out that she was the lead lawyer for the firm. So basically, it seems that is their standard of the law firm on how they will treat their clients. So I would highly recommend you find another law firm that would treat their clients better. Oh, by the way, if you would like to see how she was dressed for court, she is the one with sneakers and all black.
My husband is a limo driver and received a ticket at the airport after he was sent the wrong manifest. No big deal. Accidents happen. We received a letter from this office requesting our business and decided to go in to get things sorted. We walk into the office and there are 2 women sitting at desks. Neither of them greeted us, very awkward. We were told (with attitude) “Have a seat. We’ll be with you in a few minutes”. We did not realize that she was speaking to us because she didn’t bother to look at us! We sat & waited a brief moment before leaving. No way. This is not who we want representing us in any situation. If people are that rude when they want your money, imagine how bad the service will be once they have it. They acted like we did not even exist. No worries. There are many, MANY other law offices that appreciate business, who understand simple manners, common courtesy, and the value of customer service. Blows my mind when businesses treat clients so poorly. We would have been the easiest $200 they made that day. I wonder how much money they miss out on because of of such a simple thing? There is always competition. Someone will always be better, faster or cheaper. I’ll gladly spend more to work with someone who cares about the quality of their own service.
I have had a very poor experience with this law firm, as my case has been postponed three times. Each time, I had requested a day off from work, only to be informed at the courthouse by the clerk's office that my case had been rescheduled. When I contacted the law firm, I spoke with a woman named Ana, who was extremely rude and dismissive, implying that I was not important enough for the court to notify me of changes. Her lack of professionalism and courtesy was appalling, and I strongly advise against hiring this firm.
