The folks at Coltrane and Overfield handled the closing for our home refinance and we couldn’t have been happier. They were very thorough and meticulous with the paperwork and made sure every detail was correct. Very reasonable fees for the services provided as well. To top it all off, everyone was so kind and considerate. It was a pleasure doing business with them! Highly recommend!!!

I am a real estate attorney in this area who needed to choose another lawyer to handle my personal closing. I choose John Overfield. John is an excellent attorney. He professionally handles each matter with knowledge and skill. I highly recommend John.

This law firm handled the legal documents for a real estate transaction. I often had to follow up myself on things that were supposed to happen. I found the communication from the law firm to be minimal. I had asked the law firm to order a survey of the property, which is one of their responsibilities. And ONE MONTH later, it still had not been done. I wrote to inquire about the survey and I received a very condescending email from John Overfield that began with "Bless your heart!" and he explained to me all the things that his law firm does NOT do in this type of real estate transaction. All of this I already understood. Would a man ever begin an email with "Bless your heart!" to a man??? He did not admit to fault for never ordering the survey and finally ordered one, as he should have a month before. As far as the actual day of closing, the lawyer that handled this was prepared, professional, and helpful and conducted himself as a lawyer should. During the closing, I asked this lawyer specifically if the law firm is responsible for ordering a survey and he confirmed that that was true. I would not use this law firm again though the lawyer at closing was very competent. Up until the actual day of closing, the experience was frustrating and I did not appreciate the sexist manner in which John Overfield "mansplained" things to me.

Coltrane prides himself on getting cases mediated. If you are looking for a quick, in front of the judge attorney, he is not your guy. His office repeatedly offered to handle the other attorney's court date changes and billed me for it. I will never recommend this firm.
