Ellen C. Kaforey

So I am editing my blistering review. This attorney is a nice person…however, I experienced an issue in mediation that made me question her zeal for a civil trial if needed…..I don’t think it’s in her wheelhouse…I think that she passes on any litigation cases to a partner…she was fine when it came to helping me apply for guardianship…not much involved with that really other than the paperwork….

Ellen was amazing in helping us write up our wills. She was quick and the entire process was painless. Can't say enough about the experience!

Ellen is amazing. She truly has the best interest of all of her clients at heart. She is intelligent and understanding. She knows everything about her people. We are very appreciative for all of her service.

It’s a shame that this review platform doesn’t allow me to write a comment without giving this attorney a stars because she doesn’t deserve any stars at all. My experience with this person started in the 80s when she was employed with the city of Akron and became a friend of my now ex-wife. In 1997 attorney Ellen Kaforey became my now ex-wife’s divorce attorney. Over the years between 1997 and 2010 I spent a lot of money in the court rooms of summit county domestic relations trying to sustain visitation with my youngest daughter. Attorney Kfoury used every dirty tactic she could to keep me from seeing my youngest daughter including racist tactics. For me to hear that she is now a guardian ad litem scares me to death for other parents and kids that she would be involved with especially people of color or mixed race. She is vindictive and careless with her actions and activity in the quart room. Because of the actions of my ex-wife, attorney Kaforey and the in actions of the summit county domestic relations court between the years 1997 and 2010 my relationship with my now 32-year-old daughter has been and still is terrible. I can compare this to the wonderful relationship I have with my 41-year-old daughter who didn’t suffer the actions of my ex-wife her attorney Ellen Kfoury and summit county domestic relations court I have some knowledge and background because of my past work to understand the grievance process for attorneys and judges. I filed a grievance with the Ohio State Supreme Court and the Akron Bar Association. I also filed a grievance on the magistrate involved with my case who so many times agreed with my complaints but did nothing about it. Now that I am retired from my government job and my labor position, I currently work part time for a local law firm as a labor and government liaison. I now have more knowledge and understanding of how attorneys with ethics and a clear understanding of how to work with diverse groups of people are supposed to act. For Attorney Ellen Kaforey to be a guardian ad Litem is a scary, whoever gave her that authority needs to research her background and fire her immediately in my opinion and experience
