David B. Himelman Attorney At Law, Llc

David Himelman represented the seller of a property that I purchased last month. The first half of the transaction went smooth and David seemed like a nice, reasonable person to work with, however, as the transaction continued and we approached closing, I received multiple irate calls from David, yelling at me, insulting me, and even threatening me, all for sending a follow up email once I was ready to close on my side of the transaction. A transaction, might I add, that the seller side took over 2 months to provide access for an appraisal. I was blindsided by an irate phone call from David screaming at ME for an issue he had with my title company, I simply told him in an email that I needed 1 additional document to be signed to be clear to close on my side and was screamed at like a child for an issue he had with my title company, not even with me. I was clear to close in 4 days after I was finally given access for the appraisal. I did everything right on my side for this transaction. David was unbelievably unprofessional and incredibly rude. He has decades of experience practicing law and currently sits on numerous boards, however, I would seriously think twice before choosing David as representation on any matter. I personally know I would never want my attorney to speak to anyone I was doing business with the way David spoke to me. Violent mood swings, belittling threats, and fits of rage are not attributes of a good attorney. For reference, I am in Real Estate full time as my profession, since 2020 I have bought, sold, and transacted in over 100 sales, this one was one of the worst, and David was one of the most unprofessional, disrespectful attorneys I’ve dealt with. I would highly recommend to anyone considering using David as an attorney seek other representation, there are better options out there.

I don’t think I can write enough words to express my appreciation to Mr. Himelman but I’m sure I will tell everyone about his firm, not to help him get new business but for those who are looking for real, honest and reasonable attorney.
