There are not enough accolades in the English dictionary to describe Debra Ackerman and her practice.I came to her after having an unresolved alimony settlement dispute drag on for five years and after being turned down by two different high brow lawyers who refused to take my case (they said they wouldn't know how to approach a case in which the other party lived abroad.) Debra got the case settled in just two months! Not only was she extremely knowledgeable and effective in resolving the case but she was also warm ,empathetic, caring and a great communicator. Her empowering words healed my soul just as her professionalism and persistence enabled me to reach an effective resolution.

Debra was my lawyer and my savior during my divorce from an unyielding and uncompromising ex. Prior to finding Debra, I had retained a "top divorce lawyer" in downtown Silver Spring, who dragged my case out for months and never did anything except bill me. Complete crook, files false documents and submits those documents to the Circuit court, I would imagine the state's attorney putting her in jail.
