Defenders of Children

DofC came to our immediate aid while we were in the midst of trauma, confusion and distress. Their incredibly kind and doting staff members made us all feel like we mattered and were special. Several took time to hear our story and offer their support and help. They claimed a piece of our hearts for giving us a huge launching point towards healing. DofC will forever be one of our favorite organizations. I know without them my children wouldn't have made such an amazing recovery. I also know I wouldn't have had it in me to fight the needed fight without them encouraging and educating me. If by chance they read this I really do want to thank you ALL. You took us in like family even though we were strangers. We felt your love and concern and it made us finally feel like we were going to be ok. To us you were like our superheros. You guys really do deserve capes for the work you do!! Keep fighting the dark and keep saving our children. You all make this world a better and safer place. If you have a child in need and in the midst of a storm PLEASE make DofC your first call! The information you will receive from these professionals will assist you in maneuvering through your ordeal. They will throw you a much needed life raft and teach you to swim once again. God be with all those who fight for those who can't defend themselves. God speed DofC. We love you!!!!

I felt supported 100% ! They take their time to listen to you and to the case you are bringing to them to get assisted with. You leave their office with CONFIDENCE and HOPE and no longer STRESSED OUT, knowing that you are not ALONE and that they will be guiding you and SUPPORTING YOU until your case is over. This organization is absolutely AMAZING! I’m forever grateful for all their help and knowledge. Cat did so much for me and made sure I had the right resources I need and always stayed in contact with me to make sure I got the help I needed. I do not know what I would have done with out her, that is how big of an impact she made in my life. So thank you so very much.

I have had been getting supports from Defenders on and off for 6 years now. They have been a great support and awesome resource for me and family/ friends that I recommend to this non profit!!! I have received so much therapy, therapy for my sons, group, life experiences, and so much more!!!

As a community partner of Defenders of Children I can’t say enough about their staff and services they offer our clients at the Phoenix Dream Center. Each and every time we need anything and I mean anything they are just one phone call away. They are a pillar at the Phx Dream Center and weekly come to teach our residents (survivors of trafficking) life skills that they will take along with them long after they leave us. Johanna and her team are some of the most dedicated and trauma informed providers in our community.
