Reviews

I can't figure out the negative reviews, because this was not my experience. I normally wouldn't post a review at all, but since I'm seeing so many people have had a bad time, I wanted to share that they helped me tremendously. The one issue I ran into was it does take them a long time to get back to you, file things, etc. But they literally gave me thousands and thousands of dollars of free legal work, and asked for nothing in return. If you think you have a disability issue, it doesn't hurt to try them.
First, I played phone tag for weeks never speaking to anyone. Then, when they do call, it’s right before 4 when they leave so if you call them back, they are gone. Or the phone will just ring and ring with no answer at all at any time of day. When I finally got a message back with info about my disability denial they say they don’t even help with that. I had another issue and it took 3 months to find out about that! So what on earth are they good for? Worst 6 month experience I’ve ever had!! If I wasn’t broke I would have never bothered!!
Don't know if this is a real organization or a sham with fake ads or what. They won't directly respond to or address messages left for them, and one of their lines ALWAYS goes to voicemail. The one time I did hear a response they told me to call them back on the same number, which of course I cannot do if the phone is always turned off. The people at the main desk with the number listed here often don't listen to the people who call and transfer calls to dead numbers. What's also weird is that the main phone is also off during buisness hours frequently and seems to redirect to a private citizen's voicemail. I'm calling to get help for someone with disabilities in an abusive situation; it has been 2 weeks. Every other agency in the state has refused to help and has re-directed us here. My friend's life is in jeopardy and she doesn't have the time to mess around. But this organization seems like a dud and a dead end as well. If it's not a fake organization then it is certainly a horrifically poorly managed one, with staff who are not doing their jobs.
Not sure what this organization does. Contacted them several times for legal assistance to assist my disabled daughter. A typical answer is there’s not really anything they can do.
What good is a disability services center when it discriminates against people with atypical disabilities?! They refused to help me or provide resources AT ALL because my disabilities are unusual, I'm stuck in a dangerous domestic situation, suffering from neglect and a neurodegenerative disease, and I can't get help on my own because society makes it near impossible for me to do so. Thanks a lot.
