Bill was referred to my by a larger firm to represent me as I purchased the company I was an employee of. For reference, 2-3m yr company with aprox 25 employees. Bill listened more than he talked, initially, and I believe he was truly building an understanding of my situation and my company. I had an advisor who had extensive experience with significantly larger acquisitions who was on most of our calls, and he was genuinely impressed by Bill, for a number of reasons. He believed that Bill provided valuable guidance, but also understood the situation from the client perspective and was willing to ultimately follow the path I wanted to, so long as it would not be detrimental. This sounds like a simple point. But it is a very important one, as an attorney from the outside looking in may have a far different perspective on the proper way to proceed. I believe that Bill provides a tremendous value to my business. I am a member of his annual retainer program and I have utilized it frequently in my first year in business. For our real estate needs, he has provided us with information regarding conventional selling or buying, for sale by owner, lease purchase, and owner or seller financing. He did a great job of describing the pros and cons of each method. I have always felt that he has our best interests in mind. As for forming the business identity, he asks the right questions to help you decide which is the right identity for your business. He had me describe our business and what our goals and concerns were for the future. He narrowed it down to a couple and spoke to us in layman's terms. Once we decided on which entity to use, he wrote the bylaws in easy to read and easy to follow format so we would be compliant in our business and with the law. Now, we just rely on Dolan Law for our business legal needs.
