Jon has represented me for almost 20 years, in both business and personal matters, he has always been very professional and knowledgeable, in his legal dealings. He is straight forward and works hard to get the best outcome for his clients. I have never been disappointed in his work! In all legal matters there will be winners and losers, compromises and negotiations, people will be happy and unhappy. I have been unhappy with a result but never with his work effort. Why is it always the unhappy that leave reviews? I will personally continue to recommend Jon Doughty to my family and friends! He is one of the best there is. I would like to thank him for his services and if you need a great attorney don’t do yourself a disservice by looking elsewhere because of a poor review by a few of unhappy clients.

I hired him in my divorce case. At our first meeting, he assured me we had a very strong case, and told me what support he felt sure I would get. When we went to the first hearing to determine spousal support, he came to me with an offer from my spouses attorney which was much less that he had assured me I could get in support. He said he thought I should take the offer, and I had to make up my mind right then if I wanted to accept the deal. I only had about 5 minutes to decide. When I questioned him about it and asked why he had told me I was sure to get much more in support, he said well they will bring up this (blank). I said, but you knew that from the beginning, so why didn't you mention this before, and he said "well sometimes there are things you don't think of until the last minute". At that point I wondered if I should get another attorney. I should have listened to my instincts and fired him. When we went to court for my divorce hearing, he was completely unprepared. There were many document which he should have requested to support my case, but I had no idea they were needed or would help because he never even brought it up. It was not until I saw the evidence my spouses attorney provided that I realized that these were the kinds of things Mr Doughty should have asked for. He completely blew my case, and did nothing at all to try to counter the damage to my case the opposing attorney did. It was nothing short of legal malpractice.

Jon Doughty is one of the most professional attorneys in the Springfield area. He is extremely knowledgeable in criminal, domestic and civil matters. Mr. Doughty treats every client with the utmost respect and is very sensitive to each and every case. I would highly recommend Jon Doughty to represent me in all matters.

Mr. Doughty was absolutely wonderful to work with for what I needed. He and his staff were very nice, down to earth, and stayed on top of everything, ensuring that it was handled in a timely and accurate manner. I would recommend him over and over again, he was great!

When your only 2 positive reviews on Google come from your paid office staff that tells you something.... Would definitely not use his service again... ... I agree with the other two reviews that were not done "in house". If there was a zero stars he would earn it from my experience.
