After 3 different attorneys and money wasted, I thought I was hopeless in finding someone to help with my felony conviction. Luckily, I came across Mrs. Carpenter. She was very knowledgeable and experienced, especially with the particulars in my case. As of today, I am a free man! I will start by saying Elizabeth was great about answering her cell phone when I called and had questions in the beginning. Unfortunately, that is all the good I can say in my experience. She did not look into my case fully (at all) and did not show up to all of the court hearings (missed 3). I felt like a babysitter for a year. After trying to have me accept a terrible plea deal, I switched to another lawyer. Because of that one move, my wife was able to graduate with her masters and I was able to see the birth of my daughter. Also, still a free man! I understand that lawyers have games they play and are products of the system. But I do not understand how somebody could take money from somebody in a bad situation and only make it worse.
