I had a wonderful experience here. When I arrived I was greeted by a lovely woman who asked me a few questions about what I was looking for. She gave me a stack of discs to put around the hangers of the dresses I wanted to try. Both members of staff also showed me some suggestions about what would suit my figure; by the time I got to the very spacious dressing room I had 10 dresses to try on. Some looked awful, but the ones suggested by the staff looked really good; any dress I didn't like was removed straight away and the rest were kept in the room so I could narrow down my choices. Every dress was laced up and fitted to me properly before going to look in a huge full length mirror and having veils and other accessories put on to complete my look. I was in there for two hours trying on dresses, but it felt like minutes, the lady who was dressing me was very friendly, polite and chatty so even though I was getting undressed in front of a stranger I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. As I was having a corset dress the assistant laced up the entire back of every dress so I could see what it would look like. Even though I wasn't the only customer in their it felt like I was the most important person in that shop. After a long search I finally found the one. The only downside is they don't have a seamstress working at the weekends, so fitting will have to be done in the week; but if you can't take a day off work for your wedding dress, what are you going to be off for? Thanks to all the staff at Elizabeth of York, see you all in 6 months when my dress arrives. Yay!!

Brides always speak highly of their service, the dresses are always well fitted and my brides always look fabulous in them. I have the photos to prove it!! So do my brides ;-) Can't say fairer than that.

Amazing service. Made me feel extremely comfortable from when I first arrived. No pushing to buy anything. Very enjoyable time trying on wedding dresses and found the one, which is beautiful. Kathy was so helpful.
