Needed deed work done for properties for my mother and myself. Mr. Ely was recommended to us. I would not recommend this office to anyone else. What we needed done was time-sensitive, as we told him. Four months later, nothing was done. He was always unavailable, on vacation or otherwise couldn't be bothered. Would not take calls, nor did he ever return a single call. If you need a law office to handle legal work, I highly suggest you find another office that will handle things correctly, in a timely manner and in a much more professional capacity.

Mr Ely is pleasant…when you can actually get him to call you back. His assistant scheduled a meeting for us to chat because he had been “so busy” he couldn’t return any of my calls the previous two weeks. Did I get the call even though I was on his calendar? Nope. Called the next day to try again, still no call and that was over a week ago. We used him to purchase a house in 2022 and it was the same scenario at that time. Only contacting him again because he forgot to include a small bit of land in our original purchase and I need it corrected. Will not be using him again.

Our realtor had us use them and if it's any representation of our move to VA ????. It's been 6 months and have yet to receive the deed to our house and we've contacted them multiple times each month. Either Brian is out on vacation, not in the office or on another call. Promised to email us, never happened. Promised to send us the deed in the mail, non-existent. Go elsewhere if you want a professional.

Mr. Ely had been hired to sell the properties for our family member who has passed. It has been close to a year & he has yet to list the properties. For 4 months now everytime our family members call he states he is writing the letters to send out or "It's on my desk in front of me now" as of two days ago he told me he was "finishing the letters & sending them out" 2 weeks ago he told my cousin "I've sent the letters out, if you don't get them it's due to the postal service." Our family has called and called for weeks. Sadly, Mr. Ely has constantly lied to our family, myself included & is not trust worthy. We wouldn't recommend Mr. Ely for anyone based on our experience. Over $800,000.00 of property is sitting with people begging to buy it but can not because Mr. Ely can not be bothered enough to finish typing & sending out a letter. It does not take a year to type a letter. If so perhaps this isn't the job for soemone who can't. A family shouldn't have to beg soemone to do the job they were hired to do. It's truly disappointing the lack of effort and service we have encountered with Mr. Ely.

While the office staff was pleasant and Mr. Ely assured me he could take care of my deed change it was two years before I got it resolved. My deed number was printed incorrectly, and therefore the tax office would not accept it so I eventually filed a Scrivner affidavit myself, and got it resolved.
