My one liner about Richard Lewis is this: Stay Away. He personifies every lawyer joke that you've ever heard. He took my case on a contingency basis thinking he could get a quick settlement. He told me that I would not pay anything unless a we won the case or we accepted a settlement. nnWhen it came time to file the case in court, he originally tried scaring me off telling me that I could be liable for the attorney fees of the other party if we lost. I thought about that for a few weeks and decided that I would accept the risk. He then sent me a letter indicating that it was no longer a contingency case, and that I was going to be responsible for all costs involved in bringing the case to trial. I called his office on several occasions to try and get him to explain this complete reversal. He never returned my calls.
