I received a tech patent in a space where all the top tech companies are (Google, Netflix, and more) and of course the process was not easy, but what stands out for me was just the commitment they had on my behalf, they will fight hard for you all the way through (they are just as strongly committed towards the end of the process, as they are at the beginning), and you will be covered and protected with your patent in every way that’s possible. James made sure that I was covered in every way possible. I felt that I had all the guidance, support, and advice I needed, but I also had lawyers that were giving it their all on my behalf (Ben is an incredibly fierce advocate on your behalf with the patent office). Ben is exceptional at dealing with the patent office. Both James and Ben are the reason I received a patent, plain and simple. I sincerely feel that you can have a novel idea, but you need exceptional lawyers and fierce advocates on your behalf to be successful with the patent process and be granted a patent (it can go very wrong easily, and not go in your favor easily, if something is missed that could have been what you needed to be granted a patent). Exceptional lawyers who are committed and are fierce advocates on your behalf is everything (this is what I had with James and Ben). Gearhart is also always aware when they are dealing with individual inventors and they are always fair and honest in their billings (which means so much when you have to watch the costs). I was also incredibly appreciative of this. After my patent was granted, I thought, hey that was fun, let’s do it again!
