She was hard to get a hold of during my divorce. She never explained things to me well or gave any good advice. If I had any questions or had to talk to anyone about my case it was rarely her. She usually pushed me off on her secretary or Paralegal. The entire time she was my attorney I never met with her personally. I did turn in a complaint about her to the State Bar Association attorneys office in Columbia. The simplest thing she could have done for me which was changed my last name was never done and should have been. Now I'm having to go through all the extra stuff involved in doing it myself.

I echo some of the recent reviews. The communication from this firm was terrible. I was constantly having to chase them down and resend information and documents I had sent multiple times. They never seemed to be able to remember or keep track of anything about my case, and were always too busy to take care of anything in a timely manner. 5 months after my case was closed I am still trying to get a refund on my credit balance. Rather than providing advice, anytime a counteroffer came over on the separation agreement, I was asked what I wanted to do about it.

Knowledgeable and gets it done. More pleasant and less stressful experience than I expected. Communication with Mary Alice and her staff was easy and they were responsive. Would use her again if I ever need a family law attorney.

I do not recommend this law firm to anyone. The staff did not communicate. The lawyer constantly gave excuses about not having enough time and was too busy with other cases. During mediation she spent majority of the time working on other cases instead of helping me with my case, which went against my favor. After wasting a lot of money and time, I had to ultimately hire another lawyer to help me. Do not use this lawyer or firm for any of your needs. I do not recommend them at all!

Was always there to answer my questions. Made a very difficult time easier for me. She was always on top of my case and very friendly. Response time was always fast. Would highly recommend this lawyer
