I had gone to court in 2003 to have a wobbler felony conviction that had received 10 years prior, to be reduced to a misdemeanor. The court denied without prejudice and said I could re petition the court in 3 years, I didn't use an attorney at the time. So after leaving the court room, Mr. Kassel approached me, said he heard what had been said in my court case and could reduce this for me when the 3 years were up or sooner, then he gave me his business card. Well after 3 years in 2006 he went back to court for me, had the courts reduce the felony under section 17b to a misdemeanor, then dismiss the case under section 1203.4. After it was all said and done I asked how much I owed him, he Replied "nothing, but I could donate to charity if I felt I owed him anything".
