My experience was mixed. I felt that I was represented well early on, but near the end I feel that I got screwed. Basically, the settlement language dictated that my ex and I split the contents of the bank account on the last day of the month (when my paycheck goes in; so she got half), but then the next day I had to pay the monthly maintenance (pretty much the other half of my paycheck). So I was left with nothing. While I should have caught this in the agreement, so should my lawyer.
