Healthtax Fitness and Wellness

This Gym is so encouraging and motivating from the group class instructors, personal trainers, front desk staff and fellow members. I haven't met a person I didn't like there. They even have inspirational quotes in the women's locker room! what a great environment. Thank you for the happy place :)

The best gym ever! Family setting, relaxed and overall fully beneficial to your mind and body.

My husband and I are new Silver Sneakers members. We went into Healthtrax in Glastonbury and asked if we could be shown around the facility. We were given forms and were told to get the forms signed by our doctor and come back for a tour at 2:00 on Tuesday or Thursday with the forms completed and signed. We considered this and felt it was unreasonable to expect us to spend money at the doctor's office just to get a tour of the fitness center. So I called Healthtrax and the person I spoke to (different person) said of course we could come in any time and get a tour without a signature from our doctor. So we went to Healthtrax again, and a third person told us we could only tour at 2:00 on Tuesday or Thursday, but we didn't need to get the form signed by the doctor unless we decided we wanted to join. Even though I explained to her I had been told that morning that we could come in for a tour any time, she said if they operated that way, she would be giving tours all day. So, three different things from three different Healthtrax employees. They need to get their policy straight and have all employees on the same page. We will not be going back a third time. There are other quality fitness centers in the area that participate in the Silver Sneakers program.

Very pricey, which would have been ok had it been the only issue. The swimming pool is almost never available on normal times for family time, only an hour a day which is ridiculous. They get you with the yearly contract which is impossible to get out of. Even though I've been asking them for months to close it, they made me come in to do it, which took a few weeks and then they still charged me an extra month beyond my monthly contract end date to close it. Which is just plain awful! And refused to back down. The staff just don't seem to care and are very arrogant. The membership manager couldn't care less about the well being of the members. nWould find another gym for this much money.

It is almost a year that my wife and I are using this gym. We chose this place mainly because of its pool as we couldn't find any other swimming pool around this area. Now after almost a year of being member of this place and using their gym and swimming pool, we are both happy with this place. The only comment that I have is about the internet wifi which is not working most of the days. Yes, it is definitely a big deal to me.
