The attorneys at this firm are straight shooters. While they are definitely easy to talk to, and will listen and create detailed notes at each meeting, they always keep conversations tight and focused which is helpful. It keeps the focus on the children and less on all of petty behaviors that one would want to fight about in the beginning of a divorce. Mr. Hecht is a well-seasoned and versed in his trade and I am very thankful I had him as my attorney, as it gave my family the start that we needed. If you need an aggressive attorney, this is your team!

I had a signed court order I asked him to help enforce. I paid him $3500 cash. After he found out that the order was not enforceable he said I retained him for a different purpose. He doesn’t respond to emails in a timely fashion. Work performance and ethic unprofessional. I asked him for receipts to show where my money went and that was never given to me. So I threw money in the trash hiring him.

BEWARE: do NOT hire Spencer Hecht and his law firm. Do yourself a favor and run in another direction. He is completely dishonest. He is not there to help, he’s there to steal your money. He could care less about you and your case and you will find yourself in a worse position then when you first approached him. There are plenty of other attorneys out there who will actually care.

RUN AWAY as fast as you can and find a competent attorney. Also, check out Maryland Case Search as Mr Hecht has major personal issues with the court and the Attorney Grievance Commission. He dropped my case completely and has cost me thousands of dollars. Run away.
