Dr hersinis office cancelled on us twice now. He was not very compassionate to my daughter when she told him she was in pain. He told her she wasn’t. The compassionate side came after when he was rubbing her back and shoulders out in the hallway and waited for us to walk to the parking lot. I called the office today and cancelled any further appointments because three people we personally know came and said the same things. Including that they bill your insurance and cancel appointments.
I arrived at 10 am (the time of my appointment). I did my paperwork (10:00-10:15) and got in at 10:25. There were seven other people in the waiting room when I arrived. Four of them were assisted in that 25 minute time frame while I did my paperwork and waited. The secretary was very busy but polite and efficient! I got in at 10:25 to get my x-rays. At 10:40 I finished and waited for doctor Hersini. 10:50 he arrived, looked at my mouth and x-rays and was very clear, helpful, and professional in finding and explaining what I needed done •I need a root canal retreatment and crown (which other dentists have confirmed to me) •I need to remove a molar tooth that is growing sideways and damaging my other teeth (I knew this already as well) •I need a filling (one cavity) •I have gum recession and he gave me tips on how to brush and what toothpaste to use to help with the pain •I will also need a regular cleaning (which I already knew) After that I went straight to the receptionist/secretary again who was very nice in helping me schedule my filling for next week. Dr. Hersini also sent in the paperwork right then to ask if my insurance will cover the root canal, crown and molar tooth removal. The secretary promptly gave me a quote for the amount it would be out-of-pocket were it necessary. I was out the door by 11:05 All areas were clean and organized and I forgot to mention that the girl who took my x-rays was very pleasant as well. I will be posting an update after visiting again, hope this is helpful for others when choosing a dentist! UPDATE: JUNE 29TH The 27th of June (a Tuesday) I had a filling done by Dr. Hersini. I had my filling appointment at 1 pm. I arrived 10 minutes early and was called in at 1:05. My mouth was numbed at 1:15. The secretary/assistant was with Dr. Hersini during this procedure. At 1:25 they both returned to do the filling. At 1:40 I was scheduling my next appointment and by 1:45 I was out the door. The secretaries (2) that I encountered were nice and fairly quiet. Hersini himself did not offer any explanation as to the procedure but he had already answered my questions the previous appointment so it wasn't necessary. His only words during our time were: "hello" and "how are you?" And "we are done". The secretary answered my one question after he had gone. Some might prefer a dentist that explains every step in the process while others don't mind just getting the work done without an explanation. If the latter is what you prefer, he is the dentist for you!
On March 17th my two daughters and I had routine dental fillings performed by Dr. Sia Hersini. He worked on all three of us from 8:30am. until 9:30 am. When he entered the room he did not make eye contact with myself, did not introduce his self, did not explain what he was doing. He proceeded to look at my Xrays and got to work. When he was drilling my teeth a sharp agonizing pain shot through my mouth and face. He stopped and looked at me. If he spoke I did not hear anything from him. I tried speaking to say it hurts really bad but he had put a plastic wedge in my mouth and it was difficult to talk, for what I am assuming was to keep my mouth propped open. He never explained any of the items used or what he was doing or what they were.He then proceeded without administering any additional numbing agents. It was the most painful experience I had ever had with getting a filling which was not my first time. At one point it felt like he missed the tooth and hit a neighboring tooth and gum. At the end of the procedure the receptionist said I had to schedule a follow-up appointment to finish the fillings for me and my two daughters. At our cleaning appointment the hygienist said I had two cavities to be filled, one daughter had one, and the other daughter had 7. But at my appointment he had filled 3 fillings the receptionist just told me. I was confused on why I needed more because initially I was told I needed two fillings filled. A nearby hygienist who was overhearing our conversation explained that hygienists are not allowed to officially diagnose cavities and the fillings needed. If that was the case then why did they at my previous appointment? Why did the doctor not inform me of how many he was filling that day? Why is the doctor only at the office one day a week? Typically, the hygienist cleans and the doctor reviews the work and updates the patient with any concerns or positives. I ended up scheduling more appointments even though I was not happy with the doctor's horrible communication and lack of compassion. When we left my daughters said they had the same experience. That is when I decided to call the office and cancel all future appointments. I let the office know that I would not be returning due to poor communication and the feeling of anxiety during the procedure. After the numbing agent wore off my gums and teeth have been in pain to this day. My gums are inflamed to the point that the tooth is half covered in gums due to the swelling. My daughter was also in pain later that day up until 5 days after. I called the office the day after the procedure to ask what I could do for my daughters' pain. No one returned my phone call. I have followed up twice and the dr will not return my calls. I don't care that I will not be returning to this office for additional work, but as a medical professional you would think the doctor would return a phone call when a parent is asking what are the options for a child that has pain that will not go away? To top it off I communicated that 17 days later my gums and teeth were still in pain. That it hurts to drink, eat, and talk. The receptionist who must be a certified doctor explained that when she had filling work done, that her pain lasted for a month and a half. That is not okay nor is it normal! My mouth should have been back to normal 24 ish hours later. Please do not go to this practice. This was the worst experience in my life regarding dental work. The only plus is the receptionist was very friendly and for that she gets the mandatory 1 star I have to put in order to post this review.
Dentist hercini is absolutely disgusting. Went here for an appointment to remove my tooth and he was completely unprofessional. He slandered his receptionist saying there’s no reason she should have told me to come here and that he couldn’t do it. He said he had created a referral at my last appointment which was an incorrect referral. He continuously yelled at me and muttered things under his breath. This is the reason people don’t like dentists. Absolutely disgusting
My husband had a routine first appt visit last Friday He provided all the new Pt paperwork to the office including a medical note from his Pulmonologist . Which requires him to sit at least at a 30 degree Angle in a dental chair due to a medical condition. The hygienist said this won’t be any problem let’s get the X-rays done first seeming you are sitting up X-rays were taken then the hygienist left the room to review the X-rays She then returned and says “I have bad news for you I’ve talked to the other staff and sorry we can’t accommodate you due to your disability “. We can’t have you not laying back in the chair we have to be able to sit down to our work . My husband had to leave the appt due to they couldn’t care for him He Had no teeth cleaning done ,no X-rays results were given or even offered results They even refused to consider to NOT charge our insurance company for the X-rays and we couldn’t even have tte interpreted results !! And he was refused care how unprofessional to charge our insurance Co!!! My husband tried to reach out to the office to further discuss the situation and call out their honesty /integrity of their handling of his situation and they basically called him a liar! He was Even refused to speak to Dr Hersini about the situation. If you are reading this review and are considering becoming a Patient please think twice or even three times as they are very dishonest and lack integrity! Poor communication ! DO NOT go to this office !!
