This was my first time at Bowman Gray Stadium. Me and my 3 little kids loved it. I'm not a big fan of smoking but there was a lot of smoking so it was hard to avoid the smoke. There was a whole section that was non-smoking, so that was good until we got up to get donuts and lost our spot. But regardless of that, the atmosphere was very family friendly, people of all ages were there having a good time. We enjoyed the races, the donuts, and especially the monster truck derby! We had a blast. The race cars were really loud, so if you have babies, young kids, or anyone sensitive to very loud noise, you'll want to have ear plugs or sound canceling ear phones or earmuffs, because it can get very loud. The bottle of juice in my hand was vibrating from the roar of the engines & we were sitting all the way at the top row. But regardless of all that, i give it 5 stars. It was worth every penny, and me and the kids can't wait to go back! ????????
Amazing experience. Must go for any race fan it family experience. Tixkets are super affordable at $12 dollars for adults and kids 12 and under just $2!!!!!!! Thr atmosphere is electric. The racing is intense.
Well it was our first time there and loved it. We will be back next year and more. I really miss one of my favorite racing. I grew up in NJ and my home track was Wall Stadium in NJ.
The most entertainment you’ll ever get for $15. The track itself is nothing to brag about although it is a legend in and of itself. In 2022 they now have brand new fresh clean bathrooms, concession stands etc. tickets are usually about $12 but they run a lot of promotions where women get in for $2. Eating at the track is affordable and pretty good. I just recommend bringing a small cooler for water. I recommend bringing a stadium seat as the bleachers aren’t horrible but if you want to give your back some support it will thank you the next day. There’s not a bad seat in the house, as it’s only a quarter mile around a football field, it’s basically like sitting at a football game. The only pitfalls of this track, is that because it’s size and age, not a lot of bigger series run here. I was there in 2015 for the last NASCAR pro East series race, and it was something very special. That being said if you come more than once you’ll quickly develop favorite local drivers in each series. The modified series is the premiere event on most nights as they race the best around this place but I recommend staying and watching everything, even the dinkiest series, i call them mini stocks, they can then stadium stocks, are extremely entertaining. Expect lots of action on both ends of the track, wrecks, and retaliation are very common all night long. As I’ve said earlier the track is not much, so the drivers really make up for it by being aggressive, stupid, and everything in between. The fans really can get into it. If you have a scanner you can easily find all the drivers and official channels and listen in at the rage behind the wheel. I would say if you are a fan of racing in any degree of want to introduce yourself to the sport, this is a good place to go. Although it won’t be for everyone every week, it will still entertain about everyone their first time. If you wait after all the racing is done they allow everyone into the pits where you can buy merch and meet drivers as well as walk the track. Very cool for free.
I love coming 2-3 times a season. I love the special nights with demolition derby, chain race, monster truck, etc. Opening night is beautiful with the planes flying over after the Star Spangled Banner. I love coming and just having a good time. There are some crazy fights and madhouse moments, but that's why I just go a few times a season. The people flipping the bird, throwing bottles on to the track, the screaming and yelling; I don't recommend for small children if they're not used to seeing this kind of stuff. My kids are older and we have fun. We love to go to the pits after the races and check out the cars, drivers, t-shirts and stuff for sale.
