Not at all what he said he was. After meeting with mr. Hooton for the first time and looking over a few things about the case he said it looked like things would be in our favor so I payed the retainer fee a week later we had a bail hearing which was denied but he had called asking for another installment so I gave him more money. We kept in touch and he was having trouble getting discovery from previous attorney but a few before trial he called wanting to meet to go over the case and to bring more money so I did at this point he didn't have nothing but the documents that I had gave him we didn't go over nothing really and the following week we had pre trial and he didnt even show up or let me know he wasn't going to be there. We ended up having trial this week and nothing that he said he was going to do or bring anything he said he had an expert witness of his own that would be at court and no one else was there said I was going to testify but didn't no one testified on his behalf of his client even though he had enough stuff to argue against the prosecutor and I gave him a total of $9k to do nothing and my kids lost their dad as he was sentenced to 35 yrs on 3rd dwi. Was very disappointed on how he left the court house and didn't even talk to myself or his mother to explain what had happened to the promise that the said to me
