Despite hearing less desirable opinions of Dr. Baker, my Husband and I went in for a check up and were very impressed with his thoroughness and compassion. Im very pleased that I decided to judge for myself. Dr. Baker is no nonsense, so if you don't have a problem he won't waste your time or his putting you through tests that you don't need! Very happy that he is our new Cardiologist!

Dr. Howard Baker is the absolute best heart doctor I have ever seen, and decided to be a patient of. He asks questions, he provides you with answers - that you can understand. Dr. Baker is reactive, he is pro active, he has diagnostic tests performed. When you leave his office you won't ask yourself "what did he just say"! Because he will have explained it to you several different ways in the course of your visit, as you and he discuss the available treatment options. Without question, the finest heart doctor in St Augustine and St Johns County. If you just happen to visit Flagler Hospital where he practices and are in need of cardio services - ask for him. I forgot to mention he was head of the Cardiology department for quite a while. Lastly, when you go into his office and meet his fantastic staff you will think you are visiting with family - caring, professional and attentive. My wife liked him so much she became a patient. March 2018 Update: Dr Baker is also a heart suregeon and recently operated on my wife's heart and pleased to report 100% success. Nope, I am not the doctor writing this - both his patients!!
