They accepted my post-nuptial agreement stating that they could take care of it with ease. Turns out they they could'nt event handle it themselves and needed to hire another attorney who actually practices family law to give insight. What they should have done is directed me to a family law attorney in the first place, which would have saved me hundreds of dollars in "correspondence" between the two attorneys. Save your time and money and find an attorney who can be upfront with you to say "look, this is not our area of expertise, you should find someone who can actually help you with your situation.". That kind of honesty would have been best in this situation.
