I'm curious to know if there's a doctor here who respects the scheduled appointment of their patients. I mean, what's the use of scheduling appointments if they are always late? Also, I am not sure if there's something wrong with my experience. I don't have the knowledge of how they operate so please enlighten me if I was wrong. For context, I had a surgery done last February 21, 2024. Right after the operation, one of the nurses in the Operating Room told me that I need to settle an amount for a "doctor's fee". I asked whether it's something that should be included on the final bill. He responded that it's an entirely different amount and I need to settle it with cash as they do not have any online transactions. I had no choice but to hand it out. But when I got the final bill at the cashier, there's also a professional fee for the doctor and the nurse who attended me. I had the same experience when I went back for a post surgery check up twice. I paid cash in the OR and paid for my bills at the cashier. Out of curiosity, I asked them to issue an official receipt claiming that I will have it reimbursed by my company. Not to mention that the doctor was more than 2 hours late during my 2nd follow up check up. We had to wait at the coffee lounge downstairs which explains the attached picture.

We recently visited the emergency room for the first dosage of anti-rabies vaccination. Unfortunately, the experience was quite frustrating. Despite the urgency of the situation, we ended up waiting for almost three hours before receiving any treatment. The staff seemed overwhelmed, and the process was far slower than we expected. While we understand that emergencies can be unpredictable, the lengthy wait time and lack of clear communication made the experience stressful. We hope they can improve their efficiency and patient management in the future.

My mom had her elbow surgery at VRP with Dr. Cadag. All staff were very helpful and responsive. Ms. Agnes, the Patient Experience Specialist has been a great help during my mom’s confinement. TV has a cable! We kept ourselves entertained. They also have full sized ref. And the aircon is cold! The room was spacious and it was really cost-effective for us. Make sure that if you parked your car, make your ticket validated from both Admissions and Information desk to have a flat rate parking fee of P150 for overnight.

My uncle was confined at this hospital due to head injury last december 2023. The nurses at the 8th flr are very unreliable and lazy! First, they were always late in giving meds for my uncle who's also diabetic and fyi diabetic people couldn't eat their meal without medication first so all throughout our stay there, my uncle's blood sugar was always unstable. At night, I always see nurses sleeping in the vacant rooms and on the sofa at the hallway. Second, they don't give proper bed turning to the patient and always late in changing diapers, we always had to wait an hour for his diaper to be changed that resulted for him to get bed sore and pneumonia. When he was sent to ICU, the nurses and the resident doctor there claims that his bed sore shouldn't have turned that big if only he was given proper bed turning so they had to do surgery to removed his bed sore then ofc we paid for that operation that could have been avoided in the first place! the doctor even suggested that we should file a complaint for the nurses on the 8th flr but until now there's no resolution! They claim that they did not find fault on their nurses and that my uncle's conditions can have complications. Third, medicines and supplies at their pharmacy is ridiculously high! its triple its price compared when you buy outside so we always buy meds outside. This hospital only cares for money and how to get more money! They do not care of the patients! If you have late payments, they will not prioritize you. Even the other patient that I spoke from the ICU had the same case as ours, first, they did not give proper bed turning until their patient got pneumonia and bed sore as well and after few days their patient died, unfortunately, after months of staying there, my uncle died too. I do not recommend this hospital at all. They will only get your money and will not care if you die!

Absolute shocking and disgusting experience as an international Visitor (german citizienship). I have an international private Insurance, but the Hospital basically refused to give me a private room or further treat me if I dont pay them upfront. I even had a several workers from the Sparkasse (big german bank) write them, talk to them and send an assurance letter that the Eurocenter will cover the expenses. But the hospital refused to accept it and even said well even if the letter comes, doesn't mean we are gonna accept it and we will still wait for the head of the admitting dept. While they let me basically in a the pedia room in the ER for literally the whole day, I arrived at 7:50 and I waited for the room until afternoon, only to get told well pay up now. Absolute shocking, I had to pay myself free (I will get the money reimbursed from my insurance, but usually I dont pay anything up front anywhere in the world) because they basically held me there until I paid up the treatment, they had given me so far. When the staff found out that I want to complain and they thought I can't pay up because I refused to pay upfront or sign questionable documents, that is when they showed their true faces and decided to treat me and my wife like trash. Literally. I can only imagine families in the philippines that dont have the priviliges that I do have to endure, when they encounter this heartless and soulless Hospital. If you are an International Traveller, especially from germany, do yourself a favor and don't come here. The hospital liked to try to make me sign threatening and inappropriate documents if they thought I can't pay. And really is anything but welcoming as soon as you don't abide to everything they say. For the Hospital I would hope that in the future you maybe find solutions in your hospital policies for international travelers and that your staff gets a lecture on kind treatment regardless of income, as soon as I paid suddenly they could be somewhat nice to me again (still made me wait several hours to get discharged). I spend basically from 7:50am until almost 11pm because of this disaster and the argument with admitting departmen and my insurance. I would advice you to educate yourself and the crewmembers on international forms of insurances because not only has this treatment made me shy away to not stay any longer and ever come back, it has also caused a stain on your international reputation. It's just a bad business approach overall.
